Williamson wins Nobel for study of transaction costs

Williamson This professor studied economics and management to the highest level of education in the English-speaking countries. At 77, Oliver Eaton Williamson, renowned North American author and expert in the economics of transaction costs, saw his work honored with the Prize in Economic Sciences, better known as the Nobel Prize in economics. University professor and philosopher of economic science, Williamson studied management at the MIT Sloan School of Management in 1955, took an MBA at Stanford University in 1960 and his Ph.D. three years later at Carnegie Mellon University. This doctorate is the highest level in education in English-speaking countries.

Óbidos is chosen to be the research platform for MIT Portugal

Obidos Approximately 20 teachers and researchers responsible for the coordination of research projects through the MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) – Portugal program with several Portuguese universities, met in Óbidos, on October 2nd. This was the first meeting conducted under the protocol signed between the municipality of Óbidos and the Foundation for Science and Technology to establish a platform there for the research and sharing the work of three partnerships established between the Portuguese government and U.S. universities MIT (Cambridge), Carnegie Mellon University (Pittsburgh) and the University of Texas (Austin).

The solution involves applying a layer of latex isolated to on the screen, where there are predefined forms (can be buttons, sets of pixels, etc.), that can inflat or deflat in order to create relief.
