In the past months, working groups have been analyzing strategies to empower policy-makers with the best insights for implementing the Artificial Intelligence Act under the project Bridge Ai.
Work began in early 2024, with the creation of five working groups for different dimensions of the AI Act’s application. The project will produce recommendations for national decision-makers based on sound scientific knowledge, experts’ guidance, and concrete cases from the Center for Responsible AI while simultaneously creating an ecosystem of collaboration between key stakeholders.
Now, the conclusions will be presented in the upcoming Bridge AI project workshop, scheduled for October 17-19, 2024, at two main events:
– October 17-18, 2024: Internal Events at the British Council
During these two days, the focus will be on internal discussions within and between each working group. Expert consultants are expected to actively participate in these sessions to facilitate fruitful exchanges and foster collaborative progress.
– October 19, 2024: Open Event at the Champalimaud Foundation
On the workshop’s final day, there will be an open event aimed at disseminating and promoting the project’s results. This event will feature talks and roundtables with some of our esteemed experts, providing a platform for knowledge sharing and engagement with a broader audience.
