On June 28th 2024, from 14:30 to 16:30, the CMU Portugal Program in collaboration with INESC TEC and the Diversity and Inclusion Commission, will host the Invited Talk on Gender Balance “Breaking Barriers in Technology: Women in Computing at Carnegie Mellon and Global Perspectives” by Jeria Quesenberry, from Carnegie Mellon University (CMU).
Jeria Quesenberry is the Associate Dean of Faculty in the Dietrich College of Humanities and Social Sciences and a Teaching Professor of Information Systems at Carnegie Mellon University. Her research focuses on cultural influences in the technology field, with particular emphasis on social inclusion, broadening participation, career values, organizational interventions, and work-life balance. She is the co-author of the book “Kicking Butt in Computer Science: Women in Computing at Carnegie Mellon University”.
