The 10th edition of PhD Open Days of Instituto Superior Técnico was held on November 4 and 5, at Técnico Innovation Center, and there were more than 150 posters by doctoral students from Instituto Superior Técnico.
The agenda of this event included round tables on artificial intelligence and the importance of doctorates in society, sessions about integrating the job market, meetings with alumni of the school, a pitch competition, and a lecture on mental health.
This event was also the stage to the inauguration of the National Council for Science, Technology and Innovation (CNCTI) on November 5th, of which Inês Lynce, CMU Portugal’s National co-director, is a member. Prime Minister, Luís Montenegro, attended the ceremony, as well as Minister of Education, Science and Innovation, Fernando Alexandre, and the Minister of Economy, Pedro Reis.
The following CMU Portugal students had their posters exhibited at the PhD Open Days: Catarina Fidalgo (Dual Ph.D. in HCI), Diana Fernandes (Dual Ph.D. EPP) and Ying Xu (Affiliated Ph.D. in HCI).
