Feedzai and Veniam, two Portuguese startups connected to the Carnegie Mellon Portugal Program, as well as Talkdesk, are featured in an extended article on the Portuguese monthly magazine Portugal Global, on the American state of California, as the sixth largest world economy.
The three startups are referenced as successful cases of Portuguese entrepreneurship that benefited in tackling the American market, gaining not only access to future investors as also entering a new and large market that easily welcomes innovation.
Feedzai was the first startup launched in the scope of the Carnegie Mellon Portugal partnership and has now become a fixture in the top 50 fastest growing startups in Europe. With high profile clients and over $ 32 million obtained in investment so far, Feedzai currently has offices in Silicon Valley, New York, London, Lisbon, Porto and Coimbra.
Former National Director of Carnegie Mellon Portugal and Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto (FEUP) faculty, João Barros is the CEO and co-founder of Veniam, one of the top 50 world’s most disruptive startups, as considered by CNBC. The company, also founded by Susana Sargento, 2016’s EU Woman Innovator, is located in Sillicon Valley, Porto and Singapore, where Veniam will launch its technology, in partnership with StartHub.
