Sceelix’s Procedural Engine is Available on Steam
Portuguese startup Sceelix, one of the teams of the 2015 edition of CMU Portugal’s inRes, launched their 3D background generating software on Steam, one of the largest digital content distribution services worldwide.
Sceelix has created a procedural engine that creates complete and unique 3D scenes and elements, which can be fitted to videogames or 3D simulators. This technology is already a part of the upcoming game Hyper Gods from Ground Control Studios .
For now, the software is only available in the Early Access format and the 1.0 version release is slated for late 2016. The distributor, Steam, is estimated to hold 70% share of the digital distribution market for video games.
