Physics and Researcher Gustavo Castelo-Branco, was chosen by the Directorate of Science today to receive the Seed Of Science in 2009 in the category of exact science. Gustavo Castelo Branco works in physics of particles with a broad international curriculum. He obtained his PhD from the City College in New York in 1976, worked in High Energy Physics for the University of Bonn and returned to Portugal in 1980. Exercising his activities at that time as a pioneer in our country, at the Center for Theoretical Physics of Particles at IST, one of the centers of excellence Portuguese science, according to an international assessment.
