Susan Hockfield, president of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), will visit Portugal, during the ‘Science Week’. The MIT-Portugal program has a devoted relevance in performing dynamic partnership processes between universities and research centers, in the direction of creating critical mass around strategic objectives. The areas that the MIT-Portugal covers are the potential growth of employment in the next decades, and an effort of evolving to differentiate in the European context. In addition to MITPortugal Program, the Portuguese Government persists in the aim to strengthen ongoing strategic partnerships, such as Carnegie Mellon University (CMUPortugal), University of Texas at Austin (UT Austin-Portugal), and the Fraunhofer Society. |
