The science of Software Engineering from FEUP is seeking to develop research and development, promoting education and training, serve the best international practices support and the improvement of business processes development, maintenance, procurement and support systems based in software and improving the quality of their products, contributing thus enhancing the competitiveness of the software industry in Portugal. In this sense, a partnership was established in formal collaboration with the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) from Carnegie-Mellon University (CMU), the main reference of Software Engineering in the world and responsible for creating, among others, the CMMI models and TSP / PSP.
