The CMU Portugal Academy – the Program’s advanced training center in digital technologies, launched in 2024 – is accepting applications for the second edition of its programs. After the success of the first edition, the Academy’s portfolio continues to offer three training programs: AI, Data Science, and Machine Learning; Product Management; and User Experience and Service Design. The deadline for applications is July 21st, 2025, and each program has 30 available positions.
The CMU Portugal Academy is a collaborative initiative between Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa (FCUL), Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia da Universidade Nova de Lisboa (NOVA FCT), Instituto Superior Técnico (Técnico), and Carnegie Mellon University (CMU), with the support of Fundação Santander Portugal and the Faculdade de Belas Artes da Universidade de Lisboa (FBAUL).
The first edition launched in 2024/25, counted 49 students selected from 265 applications, and engaged over 50 senior professors, teaching assistants, and industry leaders, both national and international, in the development of the three programs.
The CMU Academy hosted talks and masterclasses with faculty guests from Carnegie Mellon University and Stanford University, and industry experts from companies such as Feedzai, AppsFlyer, Farfetch, Waze, and WY Group.
The 2025/2026 edition of the CMU Academy Portugal, starting in September 2025, is set to strengthen its executive education portfolio, maintaining high program quality, enhancing student satisfaction, and diversifying content delivery formats. Each program will comprise 195 contact hours, supported by coordinated teaching and curated faculty from partner institutions to ensure academic excellence.
Applications must be submitted by July 21, 2025. For more information on the applications, modules, faculty, and structure, visit the CMU Portugal Academy website.
