Veniam: Delivering the Internet of Moving Things
Veniam’s Director of Product Management and Cloud Services, Rui Costa, was interviewed by a Portuguese automobile magazine – Auto Profissional – about the products and growth of the company and its wireless connectivity for vehicles.
Their objective is to connect vehicles to the each other and to the Internet using vehicular mesh networking technologies. Veniam designs, develops and deploys vehicular ad-hoc networks for any type of business.
Veniam was created by João Barros, faculty at the Faculdade de Engenharia of the Universidade do Porto, and Susana Sargento, faculty at the Universidade de Aveiro, and it is a spin-off company that uses technologies developed at Universidade de Aveiro and Instituto de Telecomunicações (IT) under the CMU Portugal Program.
