Veniam already has 42 patents
Veniam’s Founder and CEO and former national Director of the CMU Portugal Program, João Barros, was interviewed by a renowned Portuguese newspaper, Expresso.

Veniam’s goal is to connect vehicles to the each other and to the Internet using vehicular mesh networking technologies. Veniam designs, develops and deploys vehicular ad-hoc networks for any type of business.

Veniam was not only created by João Barros, also faculty at the Faculdade de Engenharia of the Universidade do Porto, but also by Susana Sargento, faculty at the Universidade de Aveiro. Veniam is a spin-off company that uses technologies developed at Universidade de Aveiro and Instituto de Telecomunicações (IT) under the CMU Portugal Program.
