The Carnegie Mellon Portugal Program is honored to announce that Priberam is now one of the Program’s new Industry Affiliates, joining the list of 14 companies committed to actively contribute to the advanced education and research programs of the partnership.
Priberam is a Portuguese company expert in software development for computational treatment of Portuguese language, legal information tools and search engines technology who will soon celebrate its thirtieth anniversary. Founded in 1989, Priberam was one of the first spin-offs of the Portuguese IT industry and is now the worldwide leading supplier of proofing tools for the Portuguese language offering solutions that combine the expertise of human generated text analysis (Natural Language Processing) with Artificial Intelligence through Machine Learning and Deep Learning.
The Carnegie Mellon Portugal Program is highly committed in joining forces with its industry partners and considering that both sides of this partnership have a long history of prior collaboration on machine learning and natural language processing, since the start of the CMU-Portugal program, this will certainly continue to be a successful collaboration.
