The Global Entrepreneurship Week is a celebration of the innovators and job creators who launch startups that bring ideas to life, drive economic growth and expand human welfare. During one week each November, GEW inspires people everywhere through local, national and global activities designed to help them explore their potential as self-starters and innovators. The event started in 2008, and currently it is celebrated in more than 160 countries, and involves 25k partners. |
In Portugal, the event is organized by Associação Portuguesa de Business Angels (APBA) and Associação para o Desenvolvimento Económico e Social (SEDES), and the main theme is Industry. The events will take place all over the country:
- November 3rd :: Kickoff at Startup Braga
- November 16th :: Opening Session at Instituto Superior Técnico (IST)
- November 19th :: Women’s Entrepreneurship Day at Câmara de Comércio e Indústria Portuguesa
- November 19th :: Entrepreneurship Fair organized by ANJE
- November 20th :: Closing Session at Faculdade de Engenharia of the Universidade do Porto
