Experts Discuss Artificial Intelligence at BPM Conference Portugal 2017
Professor Manuela Veloso, head of the Machine Learning Department at the School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University and CMU Portugal Program PI in two research projects, will be speaking at the BPM Conference Portugal, as the leading expert in AI.
The event includes other well-known international speakers like Paul Harmon, specialist in processes, cognitive computational trends and artificial intelligence; Paulo Cortez, specialist in information systems and technologies; Ross Brown of Queensland University of Technology; Bianca Fortuna, an expert in machine learning and artificial intelligence; and Bruno Horta Soares, founder of GOVaaS.
The BPM Conference Portugal is organized by Rumos, a Portuguese technical training and certification company, on the theme “Business disruption: the new paradigms and speed of change”. It will take place on May 25 at the University of Lisbon. The daylong event will be directed mainly at decision makers and influencers of organizations. The objective of the conference is to discuss the issue of artificial intelligence from a business perspective to try to identify the new set of opportunities that this technology provides and what standards to instil in the people and organizations that use them, according to the Rumos statement.
