CMU Portugal Program Promotes Exchange of Faculty and Researchers
The Carnegie Mellon Portugal Program (CMU Portugal) opened the application period to the Faculty Exchange Program on March 1. The initiative brings faculty and researchers from Portuguese universities to Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) in the United States. Applications are due by April 11, 2017.
The Faculty Exchange Program has already admitted 69 teachers and researchers from Portuguese higher education institutions with an immersion in the American university for a period of up to one semester, the Program’s statement said. “The Faculty Exchange Program’s objective is to accelerate the adoption of best practices in education, research and innovation by immersing in the academic environment and the entrepreneurial ecosystem of one of the best universities in the world in the field of Information and Communication Technologies, Carnegie Mellon University” states the national director of the CMU Portugal Program, João Claro. This program allows contact with the best practices of research and teaching, and is also a unique opportunity for integration into global knowledge networks.
