CMU Portugal PhD Student Publishes Paper on 3D Printing on Nature Materials
CMU Portugal PhD Dual Degree student, Jaime Bonnín Roca, saw his paper published on the well-known scientific journal Nature Materials.

The paper titled “Policy needed for additive manufacturing”, details the difficulties of implementing additive manufacturing due to the current lack of regulation. As an Engineering and Public Policy student, Jaime Bonnín Roca makes policy recommendations for the sector, which he defends as necessary to make this 3D printing technology attain its full potential and become more common in the industry.

Additive manufacturing describes the technologies that build 3D objects by adding layer-upon-layer of material, whether the material is plastic, metal, concrete, etc.
