José M.F. Moura, director of the Carnegie Mellon Portugal program at Carnegie Mellon, makes an overview of the Carnegie Mellon Portugal program since its begining. In looking back, José M.F. Moura considers that the program was a success, that can be measured for example by the support to 25 innovative research projects (that involve Portuguese institutions, Carnegie Mellon and one or more companies), the creation of six start-ups, and more than 270 graduates in professional master courses. José M.F. Moura is now preparing the second phase of the partnership, with the national director João Barros.
