The Building HOPE project led by DST SOLAR, will develop a tool to redefine buildings energy management practices in the context of smart urban environments. The HOPE platform will be tested in relevant contexts: industrial, office and retail buildings, demonstrating the novelty of its features and its impact in the energy management, in order to become a unique energy management platform for buildings in the next decade.

Building HOPE project proposes to develop and validate a tool for Holistic Optimization of Prosumed Energy (HOPE) of buildings. The high-level objective of this project is to leverage data collection and sensing advancements and develop AI based methodologies to facilitate transition towards a cleaner energy future.
The HOPE platform will be tested in relevant contexts, namely industrial, office and retail buildings, demonstrating the novelty of its features and its impact in the energy management, in order to become a unique energy management platform for buildings in the next decade.

This project’s resulting technology will add new dimensions to Energy management concept and extend the capabilities of state-of-the-art Energy Management Systems by:
1. characterizing in detail energy services consumption;
2. perform asset management;
3. optimizing the operation across multiple energy systems (generation, storage and service demand) and
multiple buildings;
4. aiding building owners with contracts management.
