On June 26th, the CMU Portugal Program exploratory project CONQUEST (CMU/ECE/0030/2017), co-organized with the IEEE VTS Portugal Chapter will host a Workshop entitled “Workshop on Communications, Public Safety and Innovative Applications with Aerial Drones” included on the first day of the Confetele2019, at the Headquarters Ordem dos Engenheiros, in Lisbon.
Briefly, the CONQUEST project addresses 5G technology and investigates aspects of spectrum sharing in both terrestrial cellular scenarios and heterogeneous networks (HetNets) with drone small cells. This research project is a collaboration between Jon Peha (CMU), that will be one of the Workshop speakers, and two main Portuguese research teams, one from Instituto de Telecomunicações (IT), led by Fernando Velez and another from University of Coimbra (CISUC), led by Edmundo Monteiro.
The 11th Conference on Telecommunications – ConfTele 2019, organized by the Telecommunications Specialization (Colégio de Engenharia Eletrotécnica) of Ordem dos Engenheiros and Instituto de Telecomunicações, will be held in the Headquarters of Ordem dos Engenheiros, Lisbon, Portugal, on June 26, 27 and 28, 2019. The theme of this year’s conference is “Telecommunications Technologies Pursuing New Ways of Living and Travelling”.
