Mário Cristóvão

Mário Jorge Pinto Cristóvão has a BSc and an MSc degree in Engineering Physics from the University of Coimbra, since July 2021 and February 2023, respectively. He has accumulated experience and knowledge in machine learning, automation, and parallel computing through three internships at AIBILI (2019), ActiveSpace (2020), and ASML in the Netherlands (2021/2022). Furthermore, he has R&D experience in artificial perception, mobile robotics, SLAM, and multi-sensor fusion, having been part of the SEMFIRE Portugal2020 project with a BSc fellowship (2022) on the development of artificial perception mechanisms for forestry robotics, as well as the SafeForest Large Scale CMU Portugal project.

Marta Freitas

Marta Freitas is a Biomedical Engineer and researcher at the Soft and Printed Microelectronics Lab, Institute of Systems and Robotics – University of Coimbra. Marta is particularly interested in exploring the potential of combining different technologies, such as microelectromechanical systems and stretchable electronics, to develop novel solutions for soft medical robotics.

Maria Eduarda Andrada

I am a doctoral student of the CMU Portugal Affiliated Ph.D. in Robotics with the supervision of Dr. David Portugal (ISR-UC), Dr. Joao Filipe Ferreira (NTU-UK) and Dr. George Kantor (CMU-US). I received my Masters from University of Genova (UNIGE) in Robotics Engineering and my Bachelor’s from the University of South Florida.

Manuel Reis Carneiro

Manuel Reis Carneiro received his M.Sc. degree in electrical and computer engineering with a specialization in automation from the University of Coimbra, Portugal, in 2019. He is currently a dual degree PhD student in the University of Coimbra and the Carnegie Mellon University. His research interests include stretchable and printed electronics, bioelectronic systems and human machine interfaces, with a special focus on medical applications
